If you payed with a credit card you might get some resolution through them. I had an online purchase not delivered and after getting fed up trying to contact the company I called Visa and had my money back in a week.

Try going through DCA (Department of Consumers Affairs) a California State agency. Try The State of California another state agency in California. They both have web pages. Even BAR (Bureau of Automotive Repair)

You have not clarified...or did I not read it? Did he 100% refuse to refund your money?

Have to agree for a road bike/stainless, those are pretty awful...Gotta say WTF.

From my limited visits, thats out of character & so unusual? as he's always been such a nice guy. Everyone I know personally who has bought parts from him have had good experience ? I have not visited his shop in close to 4 years.

The RZ parts market, is hopelessly small , but he was delivering more new performance parts for RZs than anyone for awile ,One friend picked up his
1.) Spec Daytona Special pipes.
2.) A RZ 4mm /Athena motor.
3.) RZ Billet head.
4.) Billet angled intakes.
5.) RZ350 Athena spec pipes (They don't look like that...lol) albeiet painted mild steel..but that's no excuse for yours
6.) After assembly, friend ditched the PWKs for Mikuni Flatslides, and Wicked Dyno tuned it with a test pipes fitted with EGT sensors
Bike Dyno time was reasonable too..Bike is pretty damned fast, & has about 4 years of use on it w no problems.

Please post a opinion regarding your "new" Toomeys when you get it all tuned. Curious as to if the deliver the goods like the originals do, the new versions I'm told deliver better mid range power, One thing for sure your Toomeys will be alot lighter than the sad looking pipes you were sent...lol

Hopefully you can come to a resolution, regarding your return. Good Luck

His last few posts around here said a great deal about who he really is. They were deleted but I recall what he said about us (the forum) and how he didn't need our money. Fair 'nuff don't give it to him.

If that's the case, maybe he's doing this on purpose.

In a sense I guess you're right. it's greed pure and simple. Give the job to the least capable and lowest paid and ship it.

I'm so tired of being force fed junk products at premium prices. I'm willing to pay more for quality but even that is becoming more difficult to find. Fortunately for us there's guys like Kenny,Glyn and John at economy who have pride in their work. Yeah even Gary at Spec II with all his quirks. When these guys give up and move on we're left to our own devices.

At the end of the day the Forum needs to be informed at what shady deals he does so other members don't get stung

That's great, but many have had great service, and great product from him. Not me, though. He's too expensive for my taste.

At least I can admit I'm not a good welder. But you would figure if you make a lot of pipes that you would have the speed and heat dialed in. I'm glad you let everyone know your experience. It could be from someone else doing it for him but regardless he should make good on it. Hope you get this resolved.

Didn't realize so many people had commented on this after I posted it .

I had to call my credit card company to perform a charge back on the pipes .

Total nightmare .

Anyways I'm glad to see that I am not the only one who has had issues with Roger.

I really appreciate this forum and it's unbiased opinion on these issues .

Some pages that will not be named here choose to cover up things like this at the cost of us the riders .

I have my toomeys on and all sorted .

I made a separate post about them in the engine forum

Thanks again

And there lies the problem. Roger never made pipes, although he did sell them as though they were his work (as he does with many parts he sells). Now it looks like he has no choice but to make his own pipes and the results speak for themselves. Just another clear example of his shitty work and even worse customer service. Shame it has taken so long for people to see the truth. There were plenty of warnings given, but they fell on deaf ears and some still chose to recommend him, leading to the uninitiated getting screwed in the process. Shameful, really.

In my case Roger let me pay him via paypal in several payments and via friends/family so when it hit the fan I was really caught with my pants down !
It was the only way I could afford to do it
This was a time when he was still on this forum and was quite involved in his new billet head etc so I thought he would be sensible and show he was sorting out a customers problem to fellow forum members and potential customers !
