Just saw Evel Knievel's leathers on Antiques Road Show.

Most likely used in the big Caesar's Palace crash.

Worth $30,000 - $60,000 usd. If verfied to be in that crash - over $100,000 usd.

A week after I turned 12 years old, I took a few busses, all alone, to see Evel jump 50 cars at the Los Angeles Coliseum. One of the greatest memories of my life.

What a showman of a bygone era of Americana.

He did these stunts, full well knowing he was likely going to get hurt, all while dressed in a thin stars n stripes ELVIS-esqe leather outfit, riding a 600 lb iron motorcycle with twin spring shocks with a handful of travel... tough soul he was.
You get the full perspective as he's high on the edges above the stadiums

That's a great story. I was a huge fan back in the day. You were motivated to see him and so lucky to have that memory.
