2011 MotoGP - Laguna Seca

#1 Post by vespaman1 » Thu Jun 30, 2011 5:37 pm

Anyone headed there on 2 wheels this year? I am leaving San Francisco Saturday morning for a nice ride down Skyline, then to Highway 9, Santa Cruz and ending up at Laguna Seca for qualifying.

Will be there the entire weekend. Just got word from Yamaha today that they are sending me 20 VIP parking passes for their parking corral. If you want one PM me your mailing address and as soon as I get them I'll mail yours out.... :smt004

OK... just got a new deal from Yamaha :smt001

They are offering me special passes for Friday morning of race weekend to participate in a "Yamaha Manufacture laps, lead by Kenny Roberts & Eddie Lawson," where we get to ride Laguna Seca with the King and Eddie for a couple of laps...

I was told anyone from the club could participate as long as they were riding a Yamaha.

I have a short window of opportunity on committing to this, so who's willing to do this with me?? :smt004

Just got it - Thanks SO MUCH! I feel like a real VIP now. If I see you there there's definitely a drink coming your way. So I guess the drill is just come in on the typical old road (where my RZ invariably overheats if the fog is gone) and show the wrist band to be directed into the thick of it all!

Wish I could make Friday morning but have work commitments. Maybe I can sort them out and join you guys on track.

The parking pass should allow you to enter the track thru the main gate entrance, a MUCH quicker way to get in... :smt002

And check your track map for the GREEN 4 parking area - that's where we'll be. Look for the Yamaha parking corral.
