Slow or non working flasher fix

#1 Post by wolfman » Sat Jan 25, 2014 4:54 pm

So, my flasher was dying and finally died and I was looking for a fix on line and decided to go old school and find out for myself. This is the third time I popped the top and started the process. I plugged it in, (new shorai batt) and left the top off and pressed ever so slightly on the mech. and voila, it flashed.
So I took a exacto knife and pried up on the steel spring to release some pressure and lo and behold it flashes now !!! Fixed!
Too lazy to post pictures but just relieving some pressure on the spring did the trick ! :smt026

Thanks for posting that info.

Would be great if that was the fix we all needed. I have a box full of flashers that are slow or just don't work.

other than a 30 year old charging system pushing that lump, a looser spring did the trick. :smt028
