1982 350LC flasher prob

Hi all, i had an issue with the bike (4LO) which i recently got.

the flashers would work a bit at first but soon stopped all together.

i opened the handlebar switch and it was a horrible corroded mess so assumed that was it.

got a nice replacement switch and indicator stem/bulb assembly and they work again but one side wont flash .

all bulbs light up (including the dash bulbs).

why would one side blink but the other will not.


electrical stuff defo not my bag

any help is greatly appreciated.

Are all the bulbs EXACTLY the same? The load must be matched, if not enough load, the flasher will not flash. Just make sure the bulbs are the correct wattage and the same on all 4 indicators (Turn Signals in the US). In the US an indicator is like the arrow on your dash that flashes with the other bulbs.

hi all , i cleaned up the connections and replaced the flasher unit with auto one and they all work.

glad it worked for you. Have to do the same mod on the 85 we have...funky flashbulbs on that one too (period flush mounts for the Spec II bodywork).
