First ride of the year

#1 Post by RZed » Mon Feb 08, 2016 10:59 pm

I got my bike running again and the rain stopped falling finally. The sun came out and warmed up to about 60 degrees. So I came home from work and hopped on the bike. Went about 25 miles or so before the sun started setting. It felt great to be back on two wheels again!! :smt003
Took a quick photo looking North. That's Mt. St. Helens in the background above the gas tank.

Your bike :smt050 :smt023 :smt045

How far away is Mt. Saint Helens? That seems to be a lot of visibility.

About 100 years ago I hiked up that mountain in the snow on a beautiful (rare) sunny Washington day. Twas very memorable.

It's about 125 miles from my house. I've been there a couple of times on some of my other bikes over the years. Very nice ride indeed!!
I also spent a week camping at Spirit Lake on the mountain when I was in Boy Scouts. That was the summer just before it blew!!
