Nice looking bike! I have the 88 version in those colours, although it's not that colour anymore. [FACE WITH STUCK-OUT TONGUE AND WINKING EYE]

Cheers, Zedixe13. Thanks for the help with those parts a while back. She is not perfect but that makes it more rideable.

Thanks Rory, starting to get the hang of photos... less frustrating now. Thanks for the kind words. Glad there are still enthusiasts out there who still care about these cool bikes. Seems like head injuries are a Canadian rite of passage.

From bad cafe racer round light conversion to Collector status. Is my rz350 apprenticeship done now?

Bike looks awesome, Gord! One thing the lower bushing on the frame should be at the bottom of the tank right were the side panel bolts on.

Thanks for the input.
Took those things off as soon as I was done the photos to get collector plates.
What do those things do anyways? Is it those rubber things with the the zip-ty that you're talking about?

Yeah, the black rubber with the white ties on them. I think they are suppose to protect the tank from rubbing up against the frame under a worse case situation.

Okay, thanks for the info. I was wondering for a long time what those things were all about. I hope I never have to use them.In that case I might put them back on properly.
Although, should my frame come in contact with the gas tank I probably wouldn't have the heart to put it back together.
On the other hand I am a full blown addict.
Do most owners leave them on?

Mine have been in my tool box for years, never could fathom the purpose of them. I suppose if you are a klutz putting the tank back on they could be handy.

Only thing I can think the purpose might be is to reduce the chance of a spark during or after a crash.
I have no idea if thats even possible? Being that the frame is grounded.

The biggest challenge for me was stripping that frame and repainting and clearcoating it. Those just took away the "new"ish effect. They probably won't make it back on.
Cheers.

Vibration dampers meant to isolate harmonic frequencies as you pass through warp speed [smilie=plane.gif]
