Update on the cooling vest.

Man, I love wearing it. Can hardly wait for hot days, so I can wear it.

Figured out to turn it inside out, so mesh is between my t-shirt and the ice. Normal way has a solid panel over the ice.

To make it last longer, I slip in some extra ice packs. I also make sure it's snug. Needs to make good contact.

We had a major heat wave and I could wear it at midnight. When it started cooling, I wore it at night and my teeth chattered all the way home

EDIT: Looks like it's gonna be in the 90s tomorrow. :smt041

Quick pic of the bike.

New silencer makes a big difference. Doesn't stink me up half as much as the old one.

It will, after enough miles.

Changed the oil & filter and installed the adjustable link connecting rod.

No problems, so far. Haven't had a test ride, yet.

Hope I can ride more, soon. The oil was hardly dirty. Never seen that before.

Interesting side note: See those 2 plastic caps?
The caps hold the loose needle bearings in place. The collar slides in, and pushes the 2 caps out the other side. Easy-peasy.

I want custom titanium expansion chambers with similar coloring.

The question is... can I make it happen? :smt017

Yes, overheating is the cause. Run it up to temperature and get it really hot. No fan on the bike. This is what does it.

Been in bed for 3 weeks, except going to RAD tx. (and the machine shop).

Big storm coming.

Upper and lower motorcycle deck empty at the hospital.

Only one showed up for the party.

Got soaked on the way home... and loved it! :smt003

All alone again today.

Massive downpour.

Soaked riding there & back.

Loved it.

Even though I wore the wrong shoes, and they filled with water. :smt003

I like those days, feeling alone can be great for the soul, being on a bike and in the rain helps that isolation I reckon. Great bike for it too.

So long ago, now just a faint memory for me of last riding a bike in the rain. I'm trying to recall the sensations, but it's too distant.
Next time I'm home when it rains, perhaps I'll take the Banshee out for some drops from the clouds!

Simple things in life are quite often the most enjoyable.

My last big crash was totally unexpected. Just riding to the store to pick up a few things.

My carbon helmet got wasted. Took a big hit, plus major rash in 4 different directions.

Glad I never get on a bike without helmet and gloves.
