Battery Type for 4L0
Battery Type for 4L0
So I did a quick google search for the battery code for my LC and it came back 12N5.5-3B.
Went and bought one - and found out the hard way that it's not the right fit. The weird part is when I check the specs on RD350LC.net - it also shows the same battery! Here's the link
Could someone let me know the correct battery code for my 81/82 CAD spec 350LC?
Thanks.
Chris

This is inside my LC and half the cost of a sealed unit.

Re: Battery Type for 4L0
Thanks for posting - I guess I missed the A following the 5.5. That effectively doubles the width of the battery!
Btw, if anyone needs a 12N5.5A-3B battery - I know where you can get one at a great price!

Re: Battery Type for 4L0
Over the winter I bought a Canadian Tire "intelligent" Battery charger Hey ! it was 55$ . AND.. CT has a 30 day 'refund' policy.
What's to lose??
The Gizmo claims a Pulse/sulphated battery function.. Why I bought it.
Astounding (to Me) It works! ...as advertised, no less.. It REVIVED a Cheapo LC ..long sulphated/dead battery.. on my bench for over 5 years...to Full capacity.
When was the last time that Brochure Babbles were even remotely factual ??
The charger Did pulse the battery for over 36 hours .. a seemingly Loooong time.
However all visible signs of plate sulphation are now gone (semi transparent battery case)
And it load tests as a Good condition battery.
A Happy surprise.

Lithium batteries work great - but ever let them go flat. The alarm drained the one in my Aprilia & killed it...
"...its a 2-stroke ya twit - Its supposed to smoke..."
Re: Battery Type for 4L0
No Lithiums CAN be revived to 100%....despite all brochure babbles. I've done it several times (yess.. I bungled their drainage, as to the why)
Does require a bit of skill AND a genuinely Sophisticated Charger though.
