Wire Harness Routing near headlight

#1 Post by kobra » Sun Sep 29, 2019 11:39 pm

I am a bit confused on the wiring harness routing for my 85 RZ350 NC2.

The harness comes out of the front of the frame and rests on top of the radiator shroud, then has a curve in it, goes between the fork crown and cowl stay, then into the lower hole in the headlight bucket? In this configuration (which I think is correct), the harness droops down enough that it would hit the fender on full compression, but does have plenty of slack for turning.

A way to raise it would be to have it go into the top hole on the headlight bucket. I've seen other configs that run the harness much higher, alongside the steering stem, but my harness doesn't look like it's meant for that.

What's the correct way to do this? A pic would really help!
