If it was me, I would service it, make sure it is rideable and ride it once around the block once ever month or two. Do not put ethanol fuel in that tank. And then put it in my house.
Then I would buy another one to be my daily driver. That really is a special bike you have there.

I'm also going to vote for preservation, since you asked. My RZ looked exactly like yours...30 years ago, and it never will again. I enjoy the changes I've made, but if I ever change my mind and want to return it to stock it would be close to impossible. Those stock pipes you have are, for all practical purposes, unobtainable and mine are long gone. If you decide on modification, buy another that's not pristine.
