Hi all, new to the forum
Have had my RZ250R since 1991, its time to show some love to her, has not been ridden for probably 10-15 years...
the LH side cover has been eaten away due to leaking fuel tap over time, i want to look at rebuilding or at least getting it looking nice again.
Need to locate a new panel, my question is, is there anyone who does aftermarket covers / flarings etc.

Does it have to be that same color? I may have a decent used yellow/ black one I could let go.

Norbo at RDLC Crazy had aftermarket side covers on his website not long ago. Might still have them available.

If it was sitting that long with gas in it, have a close look for pinholes in the tank as well.

Found one on ebay in the UK, hopefully will be ok, will need painting etc but was not to bad price wise, will see when it arrives.
Fuel tank had pin holes in it years ago, sealed it externaly with Stag paste and fuel resistant silicon, yet to recheck but still seems to be holding ATM.
Was looking at puting a reseal kit through the tank but have heard pros and cons on doing so, with the product flaking after some time.

The newer sealers are made to work with ethanol fuels & are pretty good if you follow the directions. Search this forum for more info. We are fortunate to be able to buy ethanol-free premium gas in Canada, so I haven't had any issues with it...

Had a good look at the tank today, looks like some light rust in the seams, when I resealed a few years ago it was around the rolled seal which was weeping in between the two skins, i used solder and sealant and seems to be good ATM. have vinegar sitting in tack now to remove any rust that is in the tank currently. The area around the fuel tap is sound...
