YZR Tail Section

#1 Post by boris » Tue Nov 03, 2020 11:19 pm

I am building a YZR tail section for my RZ. I am to where it is starting to fit well but I feel that too much is covered and it does not look much like the original 500 tail. I also like some of the TZ tail sections I have seen so I would like to use some of that design as well.
I have attached 3 pictures, the first one is where I am at now, the next 2 I used Photoshop to trim the bottom off of the front area, then in the third I also shortened the length of the front area under the tank.
I am not a designer so I would like if anyone could give some constructive input on what they think looks better, and anything that they would add or delete. I will have to trim the rear frame section as it now shows under the tail, but I can address this at a later date.

Me personally, I love the look of pic 2, Pic 1 looks a little bulky, Pic 3 you loose the line of the tank.
Its looking great, You are doing a great job on it...

I vote #2 I agree with tacky's comment on #3. It doesn't flow quite right.
