The pipes being basically half the price of the known brands so I went into the purchase expecting to have to do some work, which is ok as its part of the fun.

As Hooligan said, to duplicate it, if you could even find someone to do it would be in the region of $4000 cnd but if you want custom one off, then you pay!

I have had the bike running with the pipes on but due to the R/H under engine frame being a different contour than the left, the R/H pipe has to be re-profiled by 1/2" to get it to match the left out the back of the bike, but I have to now try a better exhaust to header seal, which is in the mail and will arrive this week so we'll see.

I was please it ran with the new pipes on as its nowhere near stock beforehand, with the VM 28's & uni-filters and not completely set up before I swapped the pipes out. But they do sound good, and not tinny at all with a good crackle.

Carbs are at 1 &1/4 turn out, middle clip on the needle, 27.5 pilot, 240 mains. The pilot is high as its still basically heat cycling just to be safe.

To buy the pipes I him on FB market place "Konya Csaba" according to the invoice he's in Hungary I paid $375 + $100 shipping.

I'd like to go after market with the rear shock just to lift the back end up and inch or so and drop the fronts in the yoke. Come spring I'll put Galfer wave rotors on the front and rear plus a bit of carbon to keep the discs cool, then enjoy her come summer. did similar to my 1198s and they work well.

It’s an older picture and they look low and will be adjusted up about another 2 inch but you’ll grind the pegs before the exhaust as there tucked under the bike nearer the centre line but I’ll post a picture later when there on and sealed correctly so are actually sitting a lot higher.

I noticed you had an RC30, I have a buddy here in Calgary who owns a team that races one at the IOM TT Classic every year..neat bike. I’ve owned a few RC51’s and you can see the progression

Nice. I still have the RC. Great bike. Has a full HRC race engine and pipe. She can move. I’ve never been to the classic TT. Must make a trip some year. I go to the TT every 2 years. Being going for the last 30 years. My neighbor from Ireland lives on the island at the top of Bray hill. Great viewing and he knows all the best view points on the course. Never gets old :)

Wow...not been back since 1984, I grew up on an Island just south of the IOM in North Wales just near the Irish ferry. In 84 I took my 350lc, back then the LC's were like Gixser's and you'd see them crashed at the side of the road or in fields all over the place.....lol

My buddy's team is called Brag Creek Powersports, he's and ex works mechanic for Troy Baylis.

Below is his RC30 race bike next to my Ducati 996s two years ago.

Question: Are Banshee coils actually better than the 40 year old OEM coils? Cause I'd totally do a set of upgraded coils. :)
