Galling of de Dogs

When inspecting galling on the clutch boss, is there a measurement that I could use to determine if the dogs are within tolerances to deburr for proper the clutch plates use? Not sure what is considered moderate galling. I was thinking of using 800 grit to smooth them out if there is still life left in the clutch basket.

Rather than sandpaper, I use a thin, fine flat file to clean them up.
I have not seen a spec, but unless you change to aftermarket plates of a different thickness, it still ends up getting dimpled in the same spots.

It doesn't LOOK too bad to me, but I think it's really more a matter of how they feel. If the depressions are shallow and the edges aren't sharp, I'd take a file to 'em as described above. If they're deep or sharp-edged, replacement might be a better option. Thank you, Banshee for aftermarket options!

Used a small file to remove the galling and smooth it out with 800 grit. Going to throw it back together to see what happens. Mic'd the clutch springs and noted they were below spec - replaced.
