MacDaddy RZ350 billet water pump gear
Saw this on eBay at $49.99 shipped. Has anyone used one or is it even needed? I’ve not heard of the stock piece breaking like those do on the Suzuki GT750. It is a pretty piece and a shame it is hidden to do it’s job.

Evans, I cannot comment to that part nor have I ever had one of those break. But I have purchased 2 aluminum water pump covers with drain from that vendor. They are very nice parts. Just about ready for a third one.

Haven't used one and haven't ever had a stocker fail. Nonetheless, it's very nice looking and I now want one, necessary or not!
P.S. Do NOT search this vendor's wares on eBay! His stuff is so cool my wallet started to overheat. You've been warned.

Re: MacDaddy RZ350 SHIFT PRO KIT
MacDaddy also sells a Shift Pro Kit.
FROM WEBSITE:
This listing is for one MacDaddy Racing Shift pro kit. One modded Shift Detent with spring, bolt, and billet shift star included. These products together will help your Yamaha banshee shift much smoother. These will fit any year Yamaha banshee 1987-2006.
Has anyone tried this kit on the RZ's? Or have altered the stock shift star for a smoother shift? The replacement detent has a bearing installed.

Re: MacDaddy RZ350 billet water pump gear
Ya, I have modified a shift star myself; it's just a matter of rounding off the points a little, give 'em a nice smooth radius rather than a point. Just makes shifting a little smoother. I would think the detent arm with bearing would add a little more smoothness, but haven't tried one. Definitely would consider it.

Re: MacDaddy RZ350 billet water pump gear
I did this to the YZ465's when I was wrenching on 500cc national bikes, works quite nice. Getting an RZ into neutral is the big issue (race bike) I have the modified shift drums that have neutral at the top (GP shift) gets rid of that issue
