Lookin good! The fact it is 100% complete and unmolested is a huge bonus.

I suggest a repop tank from Norbo, Yambits or Webike Japan. They are all the same and made in Taiwan. I got mine from Yambits as I was getting a bunch of other stuff too.

Wasting time on 2T forums since the dawn of the internet. RD350LC, TDR250, plated 300XCW. No four strokes.

Most of that should clean up okay - but I'd start looking for a tank now...

Great find, good to know there are still some deals out there even after 40 years.
The fact that it was parked in 86 means a full restoration but at least its all there and original.

Its been a long time but I have addressed the major problems and some of the easy low hanging fruit. I put temporary plates on it and was able to ride it to work a couple of days this week. Hopefully I'll get it's safety inspection taken care of this week and get it registered.

It sure is lovely to ride. I tried to keep it below 6K rpms (fresh engine) but it is an eager little bike and snuck past a few times. :smt020 This is the first 2Stroke twin I've owned and it sounds like music.

I have a fair bit of cosmetic work to complete; tank paint clear coat coat, Decals, clearcoat on the aluminum, paint engine side covers, exhaust, and engine stands, touch up a few spots on the frame, and replace a bunch of fasteners.

Here are a couple of pics on how it looks today:

Well done so far. I imagine in MB that your visor has to be scraped off to remove the mosquitos probably every ride lol. Appears that you purchased a new tank.

Mosquitos have been bearable this year. It's not usually the case. I actually patched the tank using a aircraft tank sealer, Chemseal CS3204. I also lined it with KBS "gold standard" tank sealer.,,,fingers crossed!

You were able to patch and line that fuel tank?

Good to hear you're able to get it out on the road and ride it. :smt038
