Yep, if you feel like it, post pictures as you go it will be fun.
It is your bike you do anything to it you want to cut up a stock frame cut up an lc tank, it does not matter as long as it makes you happy these bikes will never be super valuable so , its no great loss. It's all about the hobby and getting what you want while you can get it! .

I think it is going to be difficult if you do not modify the tank yourself either with a hammer, some sort of press, or a welder. The solo upper tube frame is a bit wider than most thus why the LC tank is such a beast. When I made my above comment I must have been picturing a single upper-tube RD350 frame. I really can't think of anything that would fit and look slim. Most of the 'cafe' tanks are intended for a much narrower spine.
