Pro-Bolt used to sell the aluminum p-clips in various colors, and with 5mm or 6mm hole size. From using them in the past, I know they are extremely fragile/brittle, and they break in half very easily. Probably why they are NLA.

Found out that Pro-Bolt UK has a similar p-clip available- only with a 6mm hole and stainless steel, no colors. Pro-Bolt USA doesn't have them on their website. Plenty of other p-clips also available from different vendors for less money than Pro-Bolt.

Received the Molex connectors and pins. So, I'll be able to test the wiring to the gauges.

2 days ago, I took some time and finished up all the dimensions for the titanium grounding plate. Was planning on making the final drawings yesterday.

For no good reason, I spent the whole day yesterday thinking about painting the frame (again). Just trying to figure out if I should attempt to paint it myself. The lattice tubes seem extremely difficult. Looks like I should use a gun or airbrush (tip) with a maximum 1 inch spray pattern. Was looking at House of Kolor spray can paint, but don't think it would work, even with an adjustable can nozzle.

Very happy I didn't make the final drawings for the grounding plate. Was looking at it last night and realized I should have used (2) 2-pin connectors, instead of a 4-pin connector. Otherwise, 2 of the electrical boxes will be wired to one connector. Need to make another titanium mounting bracket, and recalculate the dimensions.

Well, I've never been satisfied with the front 1/4 fairing.

The carbon Ducati fairing and tinted shield are nice, but I always thought it was a bit too large. Also, difficult to mount on my front end. It's still the best choice, but I've kept an eye out for something smaller that I like.

Recently spied an aluminum flyscreen that looks like a good fit. Haven't figured out how to hold it for mockup, but I'll work on it. The small size won't hide anything, so the wiring, and everything behind it, will need to be well done. If I use it, it'll get covered with carbon fiber to match the headlight bucket and dash.

Also, there are no mounting brackets available for my front end, so those will need to be custom.

Just a half-ass mockup using tape.

Can't tell yet whether I like it better than the Ducati fairing.

Not much time to post atm, but wanted to check in with you guys and say hi.

Haven't had anything cool to post. Been mostly messing around with the welder, which I enjoy. At this point, I think I could tack up most any of my bike projects. I could also do the finish welding, but not if I want it to look professional.

Got a call from another member who was stopping by Wicked Motorsports, and asked if I wanted him to take Roger my engine parts for the rebuild. Man, I tried to get everything together. Just didn't have enough time. So, I asked if I could tag along, and look at the porting/nicasil/trenching on my cases and cylinders.

My parts look okay, which is good, since they've been there for a LONG time. What was amazing is Roger's business. Holy shit!! The shop is still there, but now he has another big shop about a block away- just for making CNC wheels. That's always been his big money-maker, and I think he's made a nice fortune with it. There's another building across the street from the shop, which he uses just for making pipes. Then, there's another huge building he calls "The Showroom". Full bar & grill with indoor & outdoor dining. Cool bikes all over. He bought out someone's two-stroke collection of rare bikes. One small room is just minis that I've never seen. Dude has definitely made millions with his business. I don't think he even gets his hands dirty any more, not sure. I did meet the (new to me) mechanic that builds the engines at Roger's main shop.

Welding lab is closed for a month, so I'll be working hard to get the engine parts together for this build. Sure would be cool to see this bike fire up before I check out.

after all these years I still check in here regularly to see if you've made any progress and hopefully find some part porn.
Hope you're doing well!

Thank you, brother.

Nothing cool to post, but it's been so long, I just wanted to show some work.

Cut this yesterday out of a square piece of carbon fiber. All edges inside and out still need filing into shape. Hopefully, next time you see this piece, it will be done. Need to order some rubber trim and hardware.
