Transmission Dip Stick Question on 1975 RD350

#1 Post by mofojo » Fri Jul 24, 2020 11:50 am

Hello -
I am trying to replace my transmission oil dip stick as the cap is badly damaged. I have ordered the following part 360-15363-01-00 from Partzilla but it appears to have a shorter "stick". Is this something I should be concerned about or will this still be accurate? Thanks for the input as I am quite novice at this-

Welcome to the forum.
One thing to keep in mind is that originally, Yamaha measured with the dipstick resting on the edge so the shorter one would work if screwed all the way in. Try it & see where the oil level shows up...
