I got a 1973 Yamaha RD 350 project I have been working on. I got it all put back together and started to ride it, but the battery is not being charged. I replaced the stator and generator. The resistance readings between the 3 ac prongs are right in spec (between .3 and .4 ohms). There is no continuity between any prong and ground. Yet I still only read about .3V AC coming from the stator (before the regulator), and .3V DC after the regulator. I am totally baffled. The bike has a dyna-s pointless ignition I wired the new stator up exactly like what was on there which leads me to believe there could be an issue there.

I cannot help you out, as I am not familiar with the breed, but you would have better luck asking at the link down below, as this forum is RZ/RD water cooled specific.
