I’m in the process of rebuilding the engine back to matching numbers and have come across a potential issue.
The right hand cylinder (sat on bike) power valve sits in a phosphor bronze brush inside the RH end cap ( known as HOLDER 1
1UA-1131E-00 Fowlers fiche) which is unavailable to buy.
The power valve has quite a loose fit in the bronze bush and I was wondering if that is to allow for thermal expansion or the bush is worn. The bike has done 32,000 miles on that bush and the power valves are new and have only completed approx 700 miles.
Does anyone know the dimensions of the end of the power valve and the internal dimension of the bush?
