RZ350 TZR 3XV Hybrid

#1 Post by kpke » Sat Dec 09, 2023 1:30 pm

First and foremost, I am in need of a non-broken front fender for the TZR250 3XV front end for this project. Please notify me if you know the whereabouts of one.

This build will be documented on your favorite YouTube channel.

This was another abandoned project I collected some time ago. On 7/20/14.

Jumping on this project right away, I needed some silencers for those cool expansion chambers.

8/23/14 These were delivered by Frame Maker today TZMike CF Cans

And almost ten years later

Frame, suspension, expansion chambers, and engine rebuild/modifications were performed by Brian Turfrey about 15 years ago.

I'm glad to see you are starting on Brett old project. Like the way Brian grafted the 3XV SP swingarm and of course Brian's pipes.

Thanks George. I'm looking forward to testing this bike out with the BT suspension mods and engine.

If any one has a front fender for this thing it would be you. :smt045

Do you have a non broken one available or can you get me one (any color)?

My RZ350 is similar to your project. My has the 3XV SP swingarm, but the wheels and forks are from a VJ22SP. The reason I'm using the VJ222 SP forks is a little taller but also I wanted to run the six piston calipers from a GSXR750. I liked having over brake vehicles like on my 911. you and I have the only two RZ350 with the 3XV swingarms grafted by Brian Turfrey.

Keep an eye out for a PM from me if I find a front fender for a 3XV. The fender has to be for SP since I was the one that source the 3XV suspensions parts for Brett.

12/5/23 & 12/6/23 EP2

I am in need of the following for this project:
1. TZR250 3XV Not broken front fender, color does not matter
2. 99-05 R6 no dent no rust fuel tank, color does not matter
3. 06-07 R6 seat

The motorcycle requires stripping to the frame for some mods to be done by our favorite fabricator mad scientist Frame Maker.

Some pics of the BT frame mods.

Thanks George. Do I need a specific SPR fender then or any 3XV? Yes on the oil injection although it will require a custom oil tank.

Ken

I believe all SP and SPR fenders are the same . I have two SP forks here. One is a 1992 and the other one is the 3XV-7 ( the black anodize forks). Brian rebuild both of them and he informed that the black anodize forks are better internally. I opted to change the forks for when I do my hybrid. I know the basic 3XV forks are smaller in diameter and the lower and upper tree are different.
