I’ve a few sets on rg500s and rzv500s. Not bad. Takes a bit of work to fit it. Drilling out the holes. Zip tie here and there. Was very happy with it. Used it till I got the oem painted

I kinda wondered if they were of quality? My 84 rz 350 is mostly in good shape but tabs on side covers and rear section has broken tabs. I thought for those prices, I might just get the whole set in white then paint with factory colors and stripe with decals then clear coat them. From what I can see I can get them all tax and shipping for about 400 give or take. Then keep my original pieces.

The Chinese bodywork is compression molded, so there will be variances due to the process. It's not exactly precise, but it isn't awful.

You can still find genuine Yamaha bodywork if you look in the right places. It all depends on what you want. A proper factory correct restoration, or a bike to have fun with and you won't be worrying about details.

Most sellers will do any paint scheme you want, so you have options. Ask for it the way you want it and when it shows up you install it as it is.

Buying direct from China will save you money. Aliexpress is good....and safe. I've found it faster and less risky than eBay. https://www.aliexpress.us/w/wholesale-r ... e.search.0

Thanks I will look into it. My headlight fairing and chin fairing are not bad except for the paint. The side covers and tail section is the ones that are cracked in the tabs. The overall paint is sad so new panels with correct paint and striping is what I am after. I wanna ride the bike not park it in the living room. My bikes will probably outlast me. Not to concerned with 100 point show bikes.

The Airtech headlight cowl for the USA RZ350 didn't have any tabs to mount it to the bracket. I'd be interested to know if those Chinese knock-offs are made with mounting tabs.
I've got one of the Air-tech headlight cowls unused from 20 years ago sitting on the shelf because I'm not inventive enough with fiberglass to create a mounting point.
