Dry Cell Battery for my RZ

#1 Post by Smoker » Sun Jun 15, 2008 2:48 pm

I had an Odyssey dry cell battery in my Scion that was just a little larger than the RZ350 battery. It powered the whole car and was less than half the size and half the weight of the standard battery. The dry cell battery can be mounted in any position (even upside-down), there's no maintenance, and no liquid to spill and cause burns.

Why aren't there dry cell batteries for motorcycles??? :smt017

Odyssey makes batteries for bikes and they suck.Dry cells are for flashlights.

Or do you mean a gel cell battery? A lot of the new bikes are coming with them.

Not sure about the RZ but in my expeience the charge rate for Odyssey dry cells doesn't match the system rate.Causes them to have no depth and run down quickly.Their cca rating is lame too. They advertise a high number but it's for a way shorter time than industry standards. When you rate them at standards they're about half the lead/acid batteries.
