Glad I could help out Alex. Wish I could have stayed longer to see you hit the track. I'll be there in June to see you and Jamie do the VRRA thing. If you need anything, just ask. My parts are your parts.

alexanderdraper wrote:had a race over the weekend. did well in the heat race but had an off in the final. corner 2 at Mosport is kind of notorious around here. its a crazy blind 5 story drop into a double apex, decreasing radius, off-camber left hander.
i turned in too early and was going too fast ending in me going wide into the grass going at least 100 mph.
i waled away with a head ache and a broken pinky-finger.
wow you are lucky...in the mini ...that corner is pretty tricky..i have ran that track a few times in the Austin mini and that corner is very decieving..
If you came off in Shannanville there is lots of grass..no concrete barriers..

Did you get the Zeeltronic working Alex?

Apart from the jetting how does it feel.

had my first race of the year this past weekend.
had its share of highs and lows.
i was lucky enough to be sick with a fever and the runs all weekend! which makes it hard to do well at anything let alone racing. lol
the bike worked well until the final on sunday when the shifter linkage got buggered up making shifting more hen a little difficult. over coming that i actually was doing ok and passed one of my buddies on his ns400 on the last lap but then started to loose power and quit about half way down the back straight. it started back up after it cooled down a bit. so I'm assuming it over heated. but that doesn't seem right as i have an over-sized rad.

slinger,
i did get the zeel working i spent a a track-day using it. but when i went to start it up before i went to put her in the trailer to take her to the races there wasn't any spark again... so i went back to a stock cdi.
the other thing I'm having trouble with is that my eg temps seem to be quite low. 650*F at most and the jetting seems pretty close to where it should be for the stock curve. I'm wondering if maybe i put the probe to close to the cylinder. i placed it 6" from the piston measuring around the center of the pipe section.

I placed my sensor about 4"/100mm from the piston face. 650*F is super low.I was running around 580/600*c safe as houses.
When you get the zeeltronic working this will get the temp up with more advance and jetting.

i raced this past weekend with the VRRA up in Northbay. the race was around some of the taxiways and runways at the airport.

it was one heel of a good time. i ended up 4th out of a field of 26 bikes in the final. all in all I'm pretty proud of myself!

Hey fellas,
I found out today that the guy that finished
a spot behind me in the race a while back had
a camera on his bike. He posted the video on
you tube.

great stuff.. I can see why u put this up... did u race the bike before the frame mods? what sort of difference have they made? you may have to slow up a bit so we can drink in more rz goodness.

Hey,
Ya I did race it before the mods. Well the mods were really a result
of the racing/crashing. Lol. It's hard to compare though as the bike
is so different with the 17"slicks, the huge 750brakes, the potent slinger motor, and the stiff frame. I am still having a twitch on the exit of corners
that tends to force me to roll off the throttle a touch.
