Re: Livermore pics
Paul Stamper’s (acquaintance from the RZ forum) TZ250. He also races an RZ500 but did not haul it out from Texas. Nice to meet you in person Paul!
Sunday morning, I rode my bicycle up to the top of the hill
The red circle shows where our campsite is
Packing up late Sunday morning I saw this guy come in superhot into turn 5. He hit his front brakes hard and did a front wheelie, corrected that, but went straight off course still going quite fast and nearly hitting the wall. He got up and walked away thankfully.

Re: Livermore pics
We've been on a few nice vacations this summer and now I'm kind of not riding again due to the pandemic. Hospitals are again being overwhelmed and I do not want to risk adding to it.
So in the interim...
During the recent heat waves we've had some spectacular sunsets.
8/12/21
And six days later we are back to this annual tradition.
8/18/21
I can't complain though. My thoughts go out to the folks directly affected by the fires and the responders. A local Livermore friends sheriff husband has now been sent up to fire country twice to help out.

Good to see it up and running Ken, I’ve been following along but I’m not sure that you mentioned that rad or did you? it looks huge
Re: Livermore pics
Thanks. I think I did mention the radiator. In case I didn't, I bought two of them and had to relocate the top mounting pin on both of them So far so good on this one.

Re: Livermore pics
Saturday morning
Picked up a passenger and two more motorcycles. Leaving Julian's house at 2 PM.
Highway 5 (or if you're from SoCal "The Five")
Luxury accommodations in the beautiful city of Lebec, CA, at the top of the grapevine. Numerous cables and chains with locks, disc brake locks, antitheft device on the trailer to detect the slightest motion, and removed one wheel off of the trailer.
The room had a full kitchen
Almost there
Just above the venue on a nice level spot
At the event
Julian explaining his wizardry and craft
This was in our area. The motorcycles were displayed all the way around that building.
I am humbled to have won "Best of Show" amongst all of the beautiful motorcycles at this very well organized event.
Leaving Sunday afternoon
"The Five"
After unloading at Julian's house, getting parked at my house, it is 8:42 PM.
10 hours and 40 minutes truck time. 622 miles. 13.8 MPG.
I will be putting up some videos with lots more photos on my YouTube channel. When I have a few moments.

Re: Livermore pics
Congrats Ken! Well deserved.
I just returned last night from a weekend at the annual Barber Vintage Festival in Birmingham, AL. About a 400 mile round trip from my place. Took the RZ350 and stayed with a good friend who lives in Hoover which is a nice 10 mile ride to Barber each way. My bike ran flawlessly. The museum there had a couple new editions that we drooled over- a Konig race bike and a super low mile Bimoto V-Due.

Re: Livermore pics
Thanks Evans. Yeah, I'll bet you had a great time at Barber. I'll be looking forward to Paul Stamper's track/race videos on the 500 side.
Do you have photos and/or videos to share?
Here is a short noon smokeout video. Being a participant I was not able to walk around and make videos of the other folks making smoke.
I'm going to make a bunch of "episodes" of this event.
Check my YouTube channel for updates. Very busy at work unfortunately. It doesn't give me much time to make videos and post on forums.

Re: Livermore pics
Sorry- no pics or videos. Everyone should visit Barber at least once and the museum is said to be world class and one of the best worldwide. The Vintage Festival is held each October and is a good time to visit as they have AHRMA racing with lots of 2 strokes competing and so many other activities going on including 2 large swap meet areas and more…. Love to see you there one day!

Ken,
