Re: JL PIPES UNDER EXISTING BODYWORK
Hi, You will not have to cut anything the silencers dont come that far out the back ,so you dont need to cut the rear holes either Which silencers would that be? I had to shorten my upper silencers to make them fit. That or enlarging the holes in the rear section. Also - the upper pipes are a very c...

Re: And This Makes 8
Very nice bike! ... When will it end???... Never! My wife is trying to keep the number of my bikes down, so she desperatly tries to keep this system: If a new bike enters the garage, then an old one has to leave. It's not bulletproof and the number of bikes are rising, but sometimes I obey her syste...

Re: Fuel pipe order
Hi Again,
I seem to remember that right outlet (away from the petcock) is "on". Following that, then the left one (near the petcock) has to be "reserve".

Hi Geoff,
Doesn't the tap have any text on the inlets? Mine has markings to show where the hoses go. Exactly like the outlets under the tank.

RD500 luggage rack
Gents, I am wondering if the RD/RZ500 ever came with a luggage rack, or if Yamaha sold one for the 500? Like this one: http://www.lokke.dk/steen/diverse/RD500%20luggage%20rack%201.jpg Or closer: http://www.lokke.dk/steen/diverse/RD500%20luggage%20rack%202.jpg It does not look homemade, so I wonder i...

Re: Billet Clutch Cover
I'm back!
The bare clutch cover (without the round "Yamaha" cover) costs 446 USD. Let me know if you need it. Then either I can source it or you will have the contact details of the dealer.

Re: Fuel Tank
Checked my two tanks. One German and one Danish. No valves, but both have the round spot..
God knows where the "Danish" bikes were meant to be sold. Since only 8 bikes were sold here, we surely do not have any special models for our little market..
