A big thank you to Andy for taking this home from a Yamaha dealer in 1984 and preserving possibly the only known video that has survived. What is interesting is the date recorded was only a week before the first batch of bikes got to the UK dealers.A nice piece of RD500LC history i never thought i would own
,anyone dare me to play it?

I'm sure i bought a copied version of this several years ago from ebay. I can remember watching it! Not sure what happened to it. I'll have to have rummage through any old vhs tapes i have one day to see if i've still got it. I threw a load out ages ago. Either way it certainly wasn't an original version like this is!

where on earth did you find them! great news. well done. yeah, your own personal 500 museum would be great with your pristine example as the centerpiece!

Hi Steve,
Nice memory for me - the dealer let me borrow the video while I was waiting for delivery of my RD500 which was the second batch into the UK.
The anticipation just got stronger after watching it !!
Cheers
Paul

Hi Steve.
Have you ever 'shown' your bike at any of the bike meetings with all your collected bits?
It would make a great show stand a lot of people would love to see.
Or do you have any plans to do something like that?

Would you like it transfered to DVD?
I run a company and have good VHS players so could do a good job and do it for nothing
