Paint stripper

#1 Post by cbn70 » Sun Jan 18, 2015 3:55 pm

Is there any paint stripper that can be used to get the paint off the bodywork without destroying the plastic. I have a set of plastic that has been painted about 4 times already and would like to take it all off before it gets painted back to the original Yamaha colors.

I've tried aircraft stripper on some old plastic parts and I wouldn't recommend it, even if you are very careful it will soften the plastic and make a mess when you try to remove it. Considering the cost of plastics for these bikes, I'd just get at it by hand. A PITA but cheaper than replacing.
