Re: RZ350 Gauges
I would probably try RZ’s Unlimited. No website , but just call direct. Google them. Not gonna be cheap!

Go with TDR carbon reeds. Hands down better than Boyseens.

Re: Keihin pwk 28mm carbs from Ed Toomey
I am running the same set up from Ed Toomey also. Bolted them on and go! My jetting which is the same as yours seems to run perfect on my RZ. The only difference is my needle is in the middle clip. Pulls from bottom to top smoothly. Stock porting, pipes and milled head. V4 reed cages. I’m happy wher...

Re: Front Fork Spring options. 1986 and up
Check Sonic Spring. They offer 5 different weights for the RZ350. I went with an 80 weight straight wound spring for my RZ. Made a difference in my front end. I had progressives in it before and they were way too soft. Esp under braking.

Re: Tuning question
I had my left cylinder on my RZ run richer a few years ago and what I found was the that the needle and seat was worn enough to flood the carb enough to make it run rich. Replace both needle and seats and problem fixed. No saying that what’s wrong with yours, but something to check.

Re: RD400 carbs on a RZ
The only problem with the RD petcock is one of the spigots dumps straight out the back and runs right into the RZ’s frame member. I had to block it off because I could get a line on it with pinching it off.

Re: RD400 carbs on a RZ
RZ’s Unlimited has a Japanese spec petcock that looks like the stock US model but has no vacuum hook up. I have one on my RZ and looks just like stock.

Re: 350 f2 engine rebuild
I can’t really answer any of the crank questions, but for RZ/RD350YPVS in Europe look at
RDLCcrazy ( Norbo Lea) and Mad Biker Design
(Martin) both in the UK. Also NK racing in UK
Too. I have ordered from all of them.

Re: Repaint costs
I just had my RZ350 done last winter. 1100.00
for whole bike and the guy said he probably wouldn’t do one that cheap again. Great job
Done!

As far as I know, they are the same. Shift star is the same. I would look on EBay or Facebook RZ owners group page.

Re: carb tuning on 28's
I don’t think that the jetting is gonna be that different. Yes they are 2mm larger carbs, but your porting it still the same as well as your pipes. So I think DJ baseline jetting is gonna work in your RZ. I can’t imagine your motor needing bigger than a 420 main. Beside this all started with a mid r...

Re: carb tuning on 28's
I still think the Dynojet kit would work in those carbs. The mains 240 is for stock pipes and the 420 is for aftermarket pipes. Toomey’s originally came with 410’s and 420’s depending on altitude. The needles still should work, they are better than the stock needles that are in those carbs. They give...
