Re: RZ Fork Swap

Ahh... I love dragging up old threads!! I picked up some RZ parts from Redline Junkie to upgrade the LC. I'm wondering what you guys did for handle bars after your swap? Switch to clip-ons like the RZ, or modify the top yoke to accept clamps and regular bars? Also, what was done to make the LC ingit...

Pics are just outside Hfx - Sambro area - West Pennant & Chebucto Head.

We've got 14deg forecast today and down to 4 this evening. It's been an unbelievably warm Fall!

Wonderful November riding!

What a fall we've had here on the East coast of Canada this year! Into mid-Nov and still riding! That's just about unheard of!! Got out for a great ride weekend before last with Redline Junkie! The first time Rob and I have managed to get out together. Even switched bikes for a bit. The RZ doesn't p...

Re: 350lc Handlebars

You did Jon! Sorry I missed that! I also did manage to find a Biltwell tracker bar in 7/8" Waiting on a price now.

So I've got the 55K bars now that I won't be using. Anyone interested? Jon? Paint is marked up around the clamps now, but the rest is un-touched. I'll get some pics tonight!

Re: 350lc Handlebars

So I'm having second thoughts about the MX bars. I've been thru the catalogues my Yamaha guy uses (Parts Canada) and can't find what I want. I've asked for some help, which he's usually good about, but this time can't be bothered. Maybe someone here can help... I'm looking for a 'tracker' or 'drag' ...

Re: 350lc Handlebars

I'll have to compare the bars on the RD with the MX bars on my DR. They feel quite similar in width. I may have cut down the MX bars when I got them.

Re: 350lc Handlebars

Sorry for dragging up and old thread, but I'm wondering what folks have used for alternative bars. I'm in need of new bars (current bars are a little tweaked... not by me ;-)). I ordered the Yamaha bars, but not happy with them. They've got a little too much rise, and alot too much pull back for my ...

Re: Stock clutch is on its last legs

I went with 3 stock springs and 3 heavy (TZ maybe??) springs from Yambits... Dont go that route!!! Damn the clutch pull is heavy now! A real bitch in traffic!

Re: introduction and a question

I agree with Evan. I always go in with a part number to give them. Everything is at least a week away, but they've been able to get just about everything I've been looking for. The other source is Norbo in Mark's link. It all comes from the UK, so takes time, but he's got the best aftermarket/reprod...

Re: Question for you guys in Alberta...

I really do know better than to leave registration to the last minute... I've done it enough with sleds to know the headaches... just got ahead of myself with this one! Seems AB is more lenient on proving ownership, but needing ins. is a pain in the ass. NS is stricter on proving ownership, but does...

Re: Question for you guys in Alberta...

Long story kinda shortened, I bought the bike from a guy in our Calgary office and had it shipped down last fall. He bought the bike 6 or 8 yrs ago, added it to his collection of 20-some bikes, and then it sat gathering dust. I got a bill of sale from him a couple months ago and went in to Service N...

Question for you guys in Alberta...

Does anyone know if you need insurance to register a bike in AB? Even if it's not going on the road and you just want the paperwork in your name, do you need ins?

Re: Another LC finished... sort of...

The adjuster must have been too far out initially and then I cranked it too far in. Adjusted it to the book spec last night, and 10min later it feels perfect. Oil doesn't seem to be an issue. No clutch slip last night.

Here's the gear lube I'm using. Anybody see any issues with the spec's?
