Build it Stock! using ONLY Oem Yama parts AND set the Revlimiter to 9500 rpms.jzanutto wrote:I want reliability.
With decent breakin and quality oils that should / could get to 25K miles.
Beyond that? expect a rebuild every other season

Bigger is always better

You can fund your project for free if you know how. I pick up bikes for free or next to nothing(25$) and then part them out on Ebay or Craigs. It funds my projects. It takes effort and time but if you don't have the dough, it can be done. You have Craigs in Fresno so there is a huge source right there. I have also scored 5+ bikes for free just by having a vintage motorcycle shirt on and someone coming up to say they have one they want to get rid of. Money is not an obstacle doing it this way but it will cost time and effort. The frames and parts I don't sell I also pass on for free or cut them up for frame patch panels. Give it a try. Each bike I can usually eek out $500 bucks on. Build that dream engine that you want.

Man, you peeps need to read the date of the last post. 2 years old and adding no value.
If YZ had decided to add a link this sounds almost identical to the ...I make $7K a week working on the internet people! Way to take advantage of other's generosity though man. Pretty dishonest to take things given to you then turn around and sell them.
