A little fun was had dragging down long and deserted industrial park roads. We didn't do a proper standing start, but from a rolling start, Rory's bumble bee RZ did a pretty good job keeping up with my FZ750. Not sure all exactly what he has done to that thing but I'm told it has 54 hp at the rear wheel and for sure it is not slow.

The FZ prob weighs a good 200 lbs more than the RZ but it has about 20 hp more at the rear wheel. The RZ stays with the FZ through a gear or two before the bigger 4-stroke begins to inexorably pull ahead. As the speed increases, the FZ pulls ahead even faster.
As mentioned, these were from a rolling start. I think that from a standing start, the RZ would get absolutely smoked. Slipping the clutch madly while trying to keep the front tire down and the motor on the pipe tends to kill drive. The long and low FZ would dig in and accelerate with much less fuss.
Anyway, it was good fun and brought back loads of memories of a misspent 20's for me.
