YSS Shock
Anyone using this particular YSS shock on their RZ350? https://www.ebay.ca/itm/124183358668?ss ... 1438.l2649
I'm thinking of using one on a 1988 RZ350 build here and would like some feedback on fitment and performance before purchasing.
If anyone in Canada bought one, where did you buy and how was that experience?

Re: YSS Shock
I’ve used them in 2 LC350 build John and they were great. Fit was excellent and lots of adjustment. I got the shocks that had the threaded end so I could get ride height adjustment.
One of the LCs had a similar setup as the RZ350. I fitted an FZR250 rear end, same linkage setup as the RZ

Re: YSS Shock
Thanks Paul. I would be buying the version with the adjustable ride height.
I have an R6 shock on my 1990 N2 and it's longer than stock. Changes the bike quite a bit. I'm using a Ducati 1099 side stand on that bike due to the taller rear. The stock side stand with the R6 shock was an accident waiting to happen. Were you able to use the stock side stand with the YSS shock at maximum ride height?

Re: YSS Shock
I think YSS has a good reputation. Ideally you would get a shock with remote reservoir that way you have independent compression and rebound control, but the shock you linked is far better than the stock rz shock!
Re: YSS Shock
I used a Triumph stand on the LC with the FZR rear end, On the LC, I did weld a plate to the bottom of the stand and ground it to the shape of the original to give it a little more lift,

Re: YSS Shock
I bought a YSS for my FZ and wasn't overly impressed with it. Took a bit of work to make the thing fit. I have a Hagon on my LC and really like it. The Hagon is a very nice unit with good performance.

Re: YSS Shock
Hey John, let me know before you pull the trigger, I might be interested in buying one as well and split the shipping costs.
