RIP Frame Maker
It is with deep sorrow and sadness I must inform you that my great friend Julian Farnam, a.k.a., Frame Maker, passed away very unexpectedly last Thursday, May 16, 2024. He was a great human being and touched the motorcycles and lives of many people. A racer, unbelievable genius fabricator, and creator of some of the most exotic and special one-off motorcycles you have ever seen.
Thank you for honoring me with your friendship.
RIP Julian

Re: RIP Frame Maker
That is very sad news, his work was always super impressive.
I believe many of us on here have reached an age where this sort of news is all too common. I read these posts with great sadness each time they happen. \
Not only less friends of friends but close friends too... meaning less and less of us to talk about these smelly old bikes.
RIP Julian.

Re: RIP Frame Maker
I just read that on a Facebook forum what a shame it's the second major 2-stroke enthusiast and professional fabricator that has died in one week.
I think I've been on this forum more than 25+ years. certainly have it was the mid-90s when I joined here.
In addition to seeing his machine once at Willow Springs and reading about his RZ projects article since the 1980s.
And I remember him conversing with many. Not your typical motor vehicle and motorbike fabricator or enthusiast. Far from having an attitude, nor being annoyed from questions.
He was always informative helping others, giving his valued opinion and supporting others in their endeavors with compliments, those traits and qualities did not fall on deaf ears.
I would liken him to a teacher, a role model and with his passing much of his inspiration and knowledge that he has taught so many others will live on. That's a good gift.
Bless his family, and of course Godspeed.
