84 RZ350 Front Calipers

I'm rebuilding the front calipers on a 84 RZ350. I made the mistake of taking them apart before I got the rebuild kits. I've got everything back together but I have these small coil springs left over and I can't remember how they were attached to the calipers. (See attached photo.) I've checked the crappy manual I have and the parts schematics and they don't show any small coil spring. Has anyone seen these before and know where they go. I suspect they are not necessary since the schematics don't even show them but I would sure appreciate some advice.

I’ve rebuild a lot of these calipers over the last 30 odd years and I’ve never seen these fitted.

Those didn't come from your calipers.

nice one Ken, Ive never once seen a spring on any calipers... Is this an RZ thing only I wonder....

haha, love it when people say they are not from the calipers... yep, they really are :)

I think it's sort of an anti-vibration spring. Mine was missing and they didn't squeal, so not really necessary.

small hole in caliper body the straighter end fits through then clips onto the floating mount piece. Just rebuilt a set and were on both. I had plastic sleeves over the coils on the springs.
