FYI this was pretty cool.
When I got the first bike I got full coverage Progressive Ins. bumping up all the numbers. Then I bought the other 2 bikes and have not insured them yet. I have been checking a little to change companies for multiple bike discount. Today I called Prog and was inquiring about multiple bike discount, collector discount, anything I could think of to get a discount to have ins on all 3. It came to about $100 more annual. I kept asking about discounts and the guy asks "do you have your M1 license?" Yes. "When did you get it?" December or so. Then he said "Oh there is something that has recently come thru, if you have your M1 you will only have to pay $14 more per year for all 3 bikes". Seemed kind of weird, motorcycle - M1, they kind of go together, but I didn't argue and now have all 3 insured with full coverage for $14 more a year.
This might be a CA only thing I don't know. So it might be worth checking with your ins company for additional "new" discounts.
