Aussie 83 rz350 restoration

#1 Post by graham heise » Sun Dec 22, 2019 5:26 am

Gday race fans. I have been buying and refurbishing parts for a restoration of my 83 rz350. Today i picked up the frame and some of the body work from the painter. ( unfortunately the rz350 decal will need to be redone as the lettering should be angled italic). I've been nickel plating bolts and refurbishing, forks, calipers etc. I hope to build the bike close to original as possible except for a few changes such as chambers. Here's a picture of what i picked up today. Image

Season greetings everyone. A little bit of progress on the rz. Installed new tapered roller bearimgs in the headstock and mounted the swimg arm with r6 shock. Still working on front forks and calipers. I have the engine on the bench, plan to remove and replace crankshaft tommorrow. Image

G'day race fans. It's been a while. Working away and other things have kept me from working on the rz. Home for a while now, I've made some progress. Full refurbish of forks, lots of cleaning. Engines on the bench with cylinders installed. I have spent allot of time looking for the parts for the bike that i pulled apart 7 years ago. Didnt help that i borrowed parts for my other rz along the way. Picking up some body from the painter tommorrow, that will sper me on

No mate. An old tz tuner by the name of Karl Zegers ported the cylinders and made the chambers to match. I have run them before and they perform very well.
