Hi guys! New member here. I'm on the path to get an RG500 and wanted to know if anyone has an idea on the weight of the engine? Need to plug it in to calculate freight costs mainly.

I don't know for a RG500, but a RZ500 fully equipped weights 55 kgs.

Rick, please correct me if I’m wrong I think the RG motor is around 40 pounds lighter so about 80 plus pounds

The RG500 is 60 pounds lighter than the RZ500. Much of it is engine weight.

Turns out that figure includes exhaust and carb weight (silly Japanese, go figure).
Motors difference is closer to 20 pounds. Measured it recently.
